Michael L. Billera, Esq. 

Michael L. Billera has been practicing law since 2017. He is the lead attorney, and founder of the Law Office of Michael L. Billera and Associates, PLLC. He specializes in in real estate transactions—both commercial and residential—estate planning, business development and formation, contract formation, and lease agreements.

 

Before becoming a lawyer, Michael earned a master’s in journalism from Quinnipiac University, Michael was a New York City crime reporter. Therefore, has a particular passion for advising on First Amendment rights—particularly for members of the media.

 

Currently, Michael is also a Sergeant with the New York City Police Department. He has worked for the NYPD since 2012 in a variety of roles. He has a particular insight in advising civil servants on any issues they may come across.

 

While working in the NYPD, he returned to school to earn his law degree from New York Law School.

 

Michael is also an active member of the New York City Bar Association. He was a committee member of the Criminal Law Committee and the Legal History Committee. 

 

Michael is licensed to practice law in New York and New Jersey.
